Melissa had a plan for love. The man of her dreams would be tall, and handsome, with light eyes and dark hair. Something like Prince Eric from Disney’s The Little Mermaid. To her surprise, her prince was very little how she pictured him as a little girl, but there’s no doubt that he is the prince she was destined to meet.
Tucked away off a little dirt road, The Lake House was the perfect backdrop for their wedding festivities. There was laughter, tears and joy abound under roof, tent and tree canopy. Everywhere you turned you were likely to find something to make you smile.
Moments before the ceremony I winked at Scott and said, “Just wait until you see that gorgeous little baby of yours!” And to my surprise tears immediately welled in his eyes. I felt awful for a a second and then realized that I was so very proud of him. I am so proud to see a family so excited to participate in such treasured moments together.
Fairytales are not just the thing of fiction. They are written by souls who are meant to be together and we are the lucky ones who get the chance to see a few passages…
Congratulations, Melissa and Scott! May you live happily ever after!
