Intimate Micro Wedding on Vero Beach Barrier Island | Jessica + John Alan
It was a real treat getting to film and photograph Jessica + John Alan’s intimate micro wedding on Vero Beach’s Barrier island at the start of the year.
When I first met Jessica, she told me about how unlikely a couple they were. She was a little more liberal, he was a good ole’ country boy from Okeechobee. I thought they sounded perfect and that was before I saw them together! Hint: my instincts were spot on. 😉
Since Florida was still coming off the pandemic roller-coster, Jessica and John Alan decided to have a smaller, micro wedding at her parent’s home on the barrier island in Vero Beach. They had one long dinner table so everyone could sit together as one big, united family. We were absolutely thrilled to get to photograph and film these two the whole day while they celebrated. Maybe my favorite moments were during the portrait hour with the sun setting over the river behind them. The light, coupled with Jessica’s incredible Rue de Seine gown made for some really amazing photos and film-ops!
But my favorite moment was Jessica’s speech
Jessica chose to read a letter written by John Alan’s late mother during his childhood. It was such a beautiful gesture by his new wife to read the words he’s carried with him and leaned on throughout his life. Be sure to listen for it at the beginning of their film!
It really was a day to remember
I couldn’t be happier for these two and I know their friends and family will all enjoy reliving their day with them through their photography and wedding video! Special thanks to the vendors who helped make their day so perfect!
