Melanie + Brad’s Camelback Mountain Arizona Wedding (Photo+Video)
We had a totally different vision in mind for their photos and video in the beginning
Melanie and Brad reached out to me right before the pandemic hit. We scheduled their engagement photo shoot and it seemed like the world around us was going into a deep hibernation. We thought for sure things would go back to normal once their wedding rolled around in December.
But things hadn’t really gone back to normal.
Their venue in West Palm had decided not to reopen for large events and they were stuck with lots of questions and very few answers. After much discussion with their friends and families they decided to relocate their wedding to Arizona so that Brad’s parents could be present. Dave and I had to do this ourselves for our own wedding, so we supported this decision 100%.
They found the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa
Their wedding plans started back up at light speed. New florist, new musicians, new catering–everything was new except for the wedding party. They never missed a beat. Covid re-wrote the vision of their day, but it couldn’t take away the heart of it. They were Finally going to be married!
Melanie’s bridal style was on point.
Her Jenny by Jenny Yoo dress framed her perfectly and the adornments in her perfectly styled ponytail topped off her look beautifully. At the end of the night she kept warm with a pearl-studded denim jacket that I seriously am still jealous over. She was just Amazing.
Camelback Mountain was such a beautiful backdrop for their intimate wedding video and photography
There really was magic everywhere, but the magic, really, was between Mel and Brad. Just fast forward to their first look to see what I mean. After a tear-jerking first look with Brad, they held their ceremony with the sun setting behind Camelback Mountain. Their vows were so emotive and personal–seriously you couldn’t possibly watch and not cry. You can just feel their relief at finally being able to be married.
The toasts from the Man and Maid of Honor and Best Man were on fire. There was just so much love coming from all around them. It was such an honor to play such an intimate role for them on their wedding day. I pray they are always able to feel every emotion–big and small–when they look back on their photos and video!
Special Thanks to their Vendors who helped make their day perfect!
