Lydia & Nick’s Paradise Cove Wedding | Orlando, FL
When I met Nick and Lydia back in the fall of 2016 I had No idea I would be filming their wedding nearly 2 years later. I was a new mom at the time, and so was Lydia! Our boys were very close in age and I was mesmerized by their sweet family.
Needless to say I was a tad excited when Lydia called me to talk film for their wedding. We talked on the phone for over an hour and soon realized we were besties. Our love of music seemed to be the central theme and it became clear very fast that choosing music for their wedding film was not going to be easy. Think of every epic song you’ve ever heard, written by epic artists, combine them all and it might be good enough to use. I had a post-it note on my computer for over a year, accumulating hints I collected from Lydia’s facebook posts about her favorite bands and songs. Yeah. It was serious.
So, fast forward to their wedding day at Paradise Cove in Orlando. It’s basically the setting I would choose for a movie should I ever make it. The water, the trees, the cottage, the pavilion–all of it was perfect, and so perfectly Lydia & Nick.
But it was raining. Did I mention the rain? Yeah. That. Did it phase Lydia? Not in the least. Did I mention I love this lady?
The rain actually made everything so special and it miraculously ceased moments before Lydia walked down the aisle. It was like everything between this beautiful couple–meant to be.
The reception, the portraits, the party–it all came together to make a day for the ages and I couldn’t be happier that I got to experience it in person and to document it for them. I pray they cherish these memories always.
Congratulations, Lydia & Nick! We love you both So so much and can’t wait to see what is waiting for you out there on this incredible journey you started together! Cheers!
