Shawnna and Don have been through a lot. And you would never know it.

On the outside, they are a bright, smiling, laughing couple. They are exactly what you would picture a happy couple to be. You would never know how hard they both fought to get there.

Don was involved in a boating accident that left him unable to use his legs.

The doctors weren’t optimistic about his chances for walking again, but that was not a reality for Don or Shawnna. They just worked harder.

They were not planning to read personalized vows, so I suggested we do that somewhere privately to get them excited for the big day.

You can hear a little about their story in their vows that we recorded in a separate adventure session in Melbourne, FL two weeks before their wedding. Their vows were so telling of their journey. I left our session feeling so good knowing they were really immortalizing their dedication to each other in their wedding film .

Their wedding day arrived, in the middle of December in a year none of us are likely to forget in our lifetimes (Covid), and we all came together to celebrate everything their relationship stands for. We came to honor their love.

Please take a moment to really listen to their journey through this wedding video. It will inspire you.
